Leigh Davis works predominantly in oil, creating bold, expressive, abstract paintings that focus upon form and structure. Leigh takes much of his inspiration from the figure and landscapes - both industrial and natural - deconstructing and reconstructing shapes into various compositions.
Studied from 1995 to 1999. Jewellery and Silversmithing at Birmingham University for two years, then went on to study Ceramics, Woods, Metals and Plastics achieving a BA (Hons.) at Wolverhampton University.
1999 - 2001 Worked as a free lance model maker at Aardman Animations in Bristol.
2000 - 2003 White Hall Studios, First studio.
2003 - 2004 Designed a cocktail bar "Frank" which is based in Frankwell, Shrewsbury. Other work included free lance model making for a film company Mocha Productions in Liverpool.
In 2009 Leigh designed and built his own house.
2003 to date Painting and sculpting at home based studio. Ongoing exhibitions - solo and mixed.
